Drew Foam Company Overview
Drew Foam has been block molding and fabricating EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) since 1965. We are dedicated to providing our customers with cost-effective EPS solutions from three central locations: Monticello, AR, Anderson, SC, and Portland, TN. We feature state-of-the-art equipment and employ design/manufacturing/sales people familiar with foam packaging solutions. We pride ourselves on being able to offer outstanding customer service, just-in-time delivery and an in-house engineering department to help you with every phase of our project. If you can dream it, Drew Foam can help you design it!For Packaging application, Drew Foam can provide you with cost-effective whole packaging builds component parts, precise shapes, end caps, box footers, foam blocks, spacers and a variety of combinations using foam plus foil, film, adhesive and surface treatments.
Drew Foam EPS Advantage
Because EPS Can be fabricated into virtually any shape or size, it is well-suited to accommodate production lines. End caps, rails and other interior EPS packaging pieces can be customized to accommodate the needs of automated integrated production systems; WPS interior packaging pieces can be quickly and efficiently put into place via automated procedures during the packaging assembly process.
A key benefit of EPS is that it is recyclable. EPS materials can be reprocessed into new packaging products or durable goods; Formal EPS recycling programs have been established in several countries throughout the world.

Drew Foam/EPS Capabilities
EPS is supplied to block molders in the form of a polystyrene bead. EPS beads have the consistency of white sugar in the raw state, and are expanded via application of precise temperature and pressure settings in a large block mold to produce a “log” some 24 feet long. The log is then cut into specific dimensions desired by the customer using computer-directed hot wire equipment. Most of Drew Foam’s packaging customers supply designs on a CAD file, and we have the capability to transmit CAD files via the internet. However, Drew Foam’s in-house Design Group can develop a manufacturable packaging build from a rudimentary diagram. The Design Group is also expert in working with our packaging customers to reduce manufacturing costs in our process- and theirs. The shock absorbing properties and other qualities of EPS foam, combined with its low-cost, low weight ratio, high insulating properties, custom fabrication capabilities and ease of processing make it a popular packaging material.
For more than 50 years, the effectiveness of EPS has been proven in numerous packaging applications used by a wide variety of industrial, consumer product manufacturers, by catalogue and shipping companies, and by technology product companies including electronics, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Lightweight EPS is ideal for these packaging applications due to its physical properties: cushioning characteristics, dimensional stability, abrasion resistance, and thermal and moisture resistance.
Custom fabricated EPS interior packaging has been highly effective in protecting sensitive electronic components, consumer goods and office equipment; its precise shape conformance allows interior packaging components to hold products snugly in place. High insulating properties and moisture resistance have made EPS a popular choice in the food packaging, medial, and pharmaceutical industries. EPS is also used to protect a myriad of other products used for component assembly, for in-process production, and for storage and delivery to the end user. Exterior use as corrugated box footers has resulted in huge savings from reduced forklift damage to corrugated boxes.
An instant cooler for any size box. Six pieces of EPS cut and placed inside to protect perishable items: this is the most cost effective solution for food and pharmaceutical industries. From small boxes to large gaylord boxes. Chose the thickness of the eps to match the “R” value needed. Also can be used with or without dry ice or cooling gel pack.
Custom Designs
New designs and frequent design changes are more economical with Drew Foam’s manufacturing flexibility. Since there's no tooling investment in packaging polystyrene, as a foam packaging supplier, we can make changes for very little additional cost.
Lightweight, resilient, attractive EPS reduces costs in many ways. Fewer package components means reduced inventories and increased productivity on the packaging line. Shipping and damage costs are also reduced. Low-abrasive EPS protects fine finishes and insulates package contents from temperature changes. EPS is not weakened or damaged by moisture.
Shock and vibration absorbency are two of EPS’s best qualities. EPS packaging can be designed to meet a wide range of fragility factors up to and including the demanding requirements of government shipping regulations. It is also an ideal packaging choice for products that are susceptible to vibration damage. In addition, it has excellent sound baffling qualities and is sometimes used as a component in machinery to dampen motor noise.
